On March 1, the Department of Government at Uppsala University will hold an inauguration ceremony of the Ostrom Lecture Hall, named in honour of Elinor Ostrom, the fifth laureate of the Johan Skytte Prize in Political Science. To mark the occasion, the patron of the Skytte Foundation, Nils-Axel Mörner, will unveil a painting of Ostrom which the Foundation has financed and which was painted by Johan Patricny.

The unveiling will be followed by a seminar on the work and contribution of Elinor Ostrom, featuring Johan Brosché from the Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies, Andreas Duit from the Department of Policial Science at Stockholm University as well as Marcus Wangel and Charles Parker from the Department of Government, Uppsala University.
The event will begin at 13:15 and is open to all, no sign-up required. Refreshments will be served to all participants after the seminar outside Ostrom Hall. Please note that the event will be held in Swedish and students are warmly welcome.
